The McLain's

My photo
Our journey began October 2005 when we met in our Single's class at Prestonwood Baptist Church. We were engaged in June 2006 and were married on November 17, 2006. JP works for ROMCO as a Product Support Sales Manager and I will begin teaching part-time for the Dallas International School in August 2011. We have one little boy, Merit Cross. God has truly blessed our family.

Growing Bigger Each Day!

I am almost 19 weeks now. I really can't believe that I'm almost half way there! Baby McLain is really starting to grow. Baby is now the size of my hand or about 5 1/2 inches. One week from today we will find out if baby McLain is a sweet little boy or a precious little girl. I can't wait! I am going to start registering this weekend; let the fun begin! My kiddos at school are so adorable. They pray for Baby daily and if someone forgets to pray for Baby then the others remind them. Yesterday, my sweet little Morgan prayed for Baby McLain on the morning announcements. She said, "Dear God, please let Mrs. McLain's baby come out okay." I was thinking, "I really hope Baby comes out okay!" It was quite amusing to say the least. I am feeling great; lots of energy and enthusiasm! I think JP is getting a little excited too! Also, my first shower has been set. David & Pam's Sunday School class is hosting a shower for Emily, JP's sister and me on June 20th. I guess I better start my registry! More details to come soon!

Strong Heartbeat!

I went for a check-up today and got to hear baby McLain's heartbeat. What a sweet sound to my ears! The heartbeat was loud and strong. Dr. Tyuluman gave me my hospital packet with information on birthing classes, registration information, etc. He also gave me baby McLain's first t-shirt. It is too cute! It reads, "Presented by Dr. Samuel Tyuluman".

Sweet Prayers

What a true joy it has been to share the pregnancy with my kids at PCA. They are full of questions and excitement! One of my students this week prayed for baby McLain every day on the morning announcements. The announcements are heard throughout the school and everyone kept talking about the sweet prayers lifted up for our baby. What a blessing! The kids also got to see the new pictures of baby McLain this week. They were completely amazed. They stared at them and analyzed them for several days. I am so blessed to teach at PCA.

New Pictures of Baby McLain!

We had our 15 week sonogram yesterday. Baby McLain is already taking after mommy & daddy. It looked like he or she was working out. It was too funny! Alicia came in town from Houston to go with me. Mom and Dad came too! It was a very special time for all of us. Baby is definitely growing and so is mommy!

Our Loss

Sadly, J.P.'s mom lost her battle with lung cancer. We still can't believe she is really gone. We will miss her greatly.
