Trunk or Treat

Lookin' cool in his shades and pushing Lightning McQueen

Enjoying his first tootsie roll

What a cutie! I love this picture! He is waving his racing flag.

Daddy giving Merit another bite of candy.

We took Merit to Trunk or Treat at Park Cities on Sunday night. He was very unsure and quite apprehensive at the kids and adults in costumes. He didn't really have that much fun until it was almost over and he started feeling a little more comfortable. He did get some candy and we let him try his first tootsie roll. He loved it!

Health Update - Bone Marrow Biopsy Ordered

My oncologist decided it was once again time to test my blood for remission. The test came back and I was not quite there yet. The Leukemia specialist at Medical City, not the doctor I see regularly, was a little concerned that I am not yet it remission. He ordered a bone marrow biopsy so he can get a better and more accurate picture of where I stand. I am asking for prayer. My husband says he is praying that I am healed. I am praying that the test was wrong and that the biopsy shows that I am in remission! So, this is my optimistic self coming out once again. :) However, I don't know what the outcome will be. But, I do know that I am in God's hands and that he will carry me through whatever storms come my way. I continue to praise him for my health because I feel good every day. I have an amazing amount of energy and most nights J.P. actually makes me go to bed. :) I thank Him for each day. My faith is strong and I know that eventually I will be healed by His mighty hands. Thank you once again for praying for me!
Love,

Our Time with Aunt Alicia & Uncle Marc

Uncle Marc gave Merit a piggy-back ride. Ranger actually joined them too!

Merit spending time with Uncle Marc and Ranger while the girls were cooking dinner.

We went for an evening walk and enjoyed seeing some neat Halloween decor.

My little sweetheart whom I adore.

Merit helped Alicia feed Ranger and then enjoyed watching him eat.

Ready for our early Saturday morning walk. Merit tested out Luke's stroller! He looked really comfortable.

We walked to the skate park and Merit thought it was pretty cool watching the guys on skateboards.

Late night TV watching with his Aunt and Uncle

Saturday evening we went to watch the bats take flight! It was a neat experience!

Waiting patiently for the bats. They were definitely on their own schedule and apparently in no hurry.

The three of us soaking in the beauty of Luke's room.

Great picture of Alicia and Marc before Luke arrives!

We had great fun spending time with Alicia and Marc in Houston. We made some great memories and took lots of pictures to capture the moments. These are just a few of my favorites!

Alicia's Shower Oct. 22nd

The hostess, Celeste and her beautiful mom and daughter.

Cute pic of Alicia taken before we left for the shower

Adorable

Love this plaque...so sweet

Proud Mimi and Alicia

I made "This book belongs to Luke" stickers for all of Luke's books.

We designed our own chocolate bars. Finished product...yum!

Beautiful goodies made by Celeste and personalized with Luke's name

I made Alicia a notebook with growth charts for weeks 1 - 10

We had so much fun celebrating Alicia and baby Luke at another shower. The shower was given by her dear friend Celeste. The location was The Chocolate Bar. Wow! What a neat place and great idea for a shower! We had delicious ice cream and designed our own chocolate bars. Alicia received many wonderful and needed gifts. It was quite a celebration!

Our Little Astronaut

Wearing his astronaut helmet and holding the spaceship he made at Ms. Brenda's house

Pretending the spaceship is flying high

Trying to put his astronaut helmet on Cali

 Poor Cali was terrified!

Maui didn't seem to mind so much

What a cutie!

So Lazy!!!

Our dogs are so incredibly lazy. Here they are curled up on our small couch, cuddled up underneath a blanket in the middle of the afternoon. You would think it was arctic cold in our house by the looks of them. What a life!

New Kitchen Decor!

I took down our kitchen clock and replaced it with Merit's newest artwork. Doesn't it look cute! I got the spider hands idea from Pinterest and the footprint ghost idea from Piterest too. I mounted each one on a form board covered with the black and white wrapping paper left over from Merit's birthday party. And, there you have it, new kitchen decor!

Story Time at Northpark

We really enjoy going to Bookmarks bookstore at Northpark mall. We went to Story time for Toddlers this week. Merit had fun waving the scarfs and shaking the noise makers. We sang songs, listened to stories and had jumped all around. What great memories!

Merit's Friends

Since I am on Fall break this week, I went to Ms. Brenda's house to pick up Merit's school work so he doesn't get behind. Can you believe he has homework and he's only two??? Funny. :) Anyway, we are having so much fun this week but I know he has missed seeing his friends. He really enjoyed seeing them this day. We brought pumpkin cookies for everyone and Ms. Brenda gave Merit a pumpkin bucket. He was very excited about getting his very own pumpkin. He has been carrying it all around the house, putting toys in it and then taking them out. Thank you Ms. Brenda!

Fun at Barnes & Noble

Another trip to Barnes & Noble this week and this time Merit came home with a new book. Aunt Susan gave Merit a gift card for his birthday and we have been saving it for the perfect book. Well, Chuggington with sounds is the book he chose. It is really very cute and entertaining. As you can tell from the pics, he was quite proud of his new book and he wanted to look at it as soon as we got in the car. Thank you Aunt Susan!

Playtime with Ashleigh!

These two make the cutest pair! We had fun making footprint ghosts, spider hands, reading books, watching some of Cars, the movie, on the iPad, looking at the ghosts and spider in our front yard and having lunch together. Merit adores Ashleigh and could not wait for her to get to our house. He talked about her non-stop from the time he woke up until she arrived. Debbie and I had fun catching up too! What very special friends!
