Play Time at the Park

Ready for an afternoon walk to the park! Lookin' cool in the Cars shades.

Look at that smile! He loves going down the slide.

His new feat...climbing up this way all by himself!

We always make friends when we go to the park and playground. Merit brings several of his outdoor trucks to share. :)

10 Easy Bible Verses for Children to Learn!

I found this from Ministry to Children website. Here is a link to the site. Many of the verses have coloring pages you can download and print! I can't wait to start this with Merit!

Mimi's Birthday Presents

Merit and I couldn't wait to give Mimi her birthday presents! We wanted to give them to her on Monday but my doctor appt. took longer then I thought. So, Mimi stopped by after work on Tuesday. Merit gave Mimi a Starbuck's gift card. She loves to go to Starbuck's for a treat! I got her a really pretty hanging accessory organizer. We also made gave her a really pretty picture frame with a new picture of Mimi and both of her grandsons.
Happy birthday Mimi! We love you!

Sweet Sounds

Last night J.P. and I sat and listened to Merit talking in his bed. He was supposed to be asleep. :) It was really the cutest thing. He basically was going through all of the events of the day. Maybe he was telling Snuggies about the day? We heard, "Watched the ducks and turtles, played outside, Daddy got a new truck..." I snuck in his room later and took this picture. Every night he wants to sleep with the flash light Grammy and Papa 'D' bought him and two or three of his Hot Wheels cars.

Daddy's New Truck!

Merit was pretty excited about Daddy getting a new truck. I think you can definitely tell from these pics! He couldn't wait to ride in it!

Rejoice Always!

1 Thessalonians 5:17 March 24, 199152-27

This sermon was exactly what I needed to hear today! I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Teaching Heavy vs. Light

I cut lots of pictures out of magazines for this activity. I had Merit tell me what things were heavy and what things were light. He needed a little help in the beginning but then he could do it on his own. He had fun deciding on which side to glue each picture. He was pretty proud of his work and couldn't wait for Daddy to get home and show it to him!

My Big Boy

Merit is getting to be such a big boy. He is not eating cereal with milk successfully. He uses a spoon and virtually makes no mess at all. Wow! Seems like just yesterday I was feeding him his oatmeal. :(
Okay, I'll get over it. :)

Remember the color sorting with fruit loops game? Well, I thought these color cars would make a another fun game; color sorting cars! Merit brought him entire container of cars in the living room and proceeded to place one car at a time on the cards. He keps saying, "I almost done Mommy" but he was no where near done. So cute!

Maui, Merit and Daddy...all the boys in our house.

First In 'N' Out Burger

Merit thoroughly enjoyed his first burger and fries from In 'N' Out burger. He ate almost all of his hamburger and we had to limit the number of fries he consumed. We topped off the dinner with a neopolitan shake. What a fun night!

Maverick Turns 3!

We had a great time celebrating Maverick's birthday on Saturday. Amy did a wonderful job as always. The kids all had so much fun! They played with bubble machines, hula hoops, and all kinds of neat action figure play sets. Merit had a great time and took a long nap when we got back home. He was pretty pooped.

Merit had never seen a sit'n'spin; funny how the times have changed. :)

Maverick had lots of gifts to open!

Holly's Birthday at Babe's!

Papa 'D' and Grammy sent Daddy home with Valentine treats for Merit. He was delighted over his new flash light and a new Hot Wheels car! Thank you Grammy & Papa 'D'!

Amber & Tony celebrated Holly's birthday with us.

Merit thoroughly enjoyed the food!

Sweet Thomas and the birthday girl, Holly.

Tim brought a cookie cake for Holly. Merit was more then excited about eating this!

Merit had never seen a juke box!

Just the girls; the guys opted out of the picture. :)
Happy Birthday Holly!

Friday with Mommy

Merit went with Mommy to see her doctor. He really liked standing on the scale and clamping the oxygen machine on his finger.

We went shopping for Maverick's birthday gift and found a neat Cars puzzle for Merit too!

We used the little packing peanuts to create some shapes on paper. Merit loved these things!

Eating sour cherry treats from Aunt Alicia. :)
