Cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning!

Merit had his first stomach bug this week. :( Poor baby. I hated seeing him sick. Thank goodness it was very short lived and he made a quick recovery. I spent Thursday and Friday disinfecting everything in the house, including every single car in his collection. We went through tons of Lysol spray and wipes!  

 

Monster CARS!

I thought this was both creative and funny! Merit used LEGOS to turn his McQueen cars into Monster Cars & Trucks. He thought they were so cool! What a smart boy I have!

 

Pet Smart Trip

A need for dog food requires a trip to Pet Smart which can be somewhat like a trip to the zoo! Merit and I spent a lot of time looking at the lizards, the spiders, the turtles, and the frogs. He really liked the ferrets and they were very interested in playing with him. It was cute!

 

Decorating for Easter!

Merit loves playing with these window clings so he couldn't wait to put the Easter clings on our kitchen windows. He was pretty proud of the display he made!

 

Outdoor Play!

Merit just can't seem to get enough of his horse swing. As soon as he woke up from his nap he wanted to go outside so he could ride it some more. Mimi certainly picked out a good Christmas gift for him! My Easter Lilies from Amber are coming back again this year. And, I rooted some honeysuckle two years ago and it just started blooming! I have lots of work to do in the yard still though!

 

S'mores Cookies...Fantastic!

I used the Hot Cocoa cookie recipe to make yummy S'mores cookies tonight. The link for the cookies is below. Just drop the hot cocoa cookie dough onto one graham cracker square and bake. Right before cookies are done, take them out of the oven and top them with some marshmallows. I turned my oven to low broil and toasted the marshmallows to perfection. These cookies were a big hit!

My modifications include:

1/4 cup butter + 1/4 cup light cream cheese instead of 1/2 cup butter

2 eggs and 2 egg whites instead of 3 whole eggs

 

Superb Sunday!

Sunday was the perfect day to enjoy some time outdoors. After Merit's nap, we played kickball, baseball, and flew Merit's new kite. What a beautiful day!

 

Trey's Dedication Day

Amber & Tony dedicated Trey on Sunday and they were so sweet to include us in their special day. We enjoyed brunch with them and their family. Love these pictures!

 

Mimi's Birthday Dinner at Maggiano's!

We celebrated Mimi's birthday again on Friday night with Papa and Aunt Nancy at Maggiano's. Mimi picked Maggiano's because it's one of her favorite places to dine. It was a special evening for all of us! Happy birthday to Mimi!

 

Fish + Nana = Fabulous Friday!

On Friday, Nana came over to our house and the three of us visited the Fish Gallery. Merit really likes seeing all of the different types of fish and we thought Nana would enjoy this place too. We had a great time! It was the perfect way to start the weekend!
