Tuesday Dinner with Papa

Merit was very good with Luke; look how gentle he is patting. :)

Alicia loving on her sweetie.

Papa came over to meet his great grandson and we had a delicious meal too!

Mimi held Luke so Alicia could eat a quick bite. Oh how I remember those days. :)

Daddy gave Merit and Maui a ride on the Hot Wheels tote.

Maui and Cali wearing the Mardi Gras beads that Mimi brought home from the office. These two doggies were pretty pooped by the end of the night.

Tuesday Continued...Alicia and Luke Arrive!

Welcome Alicia and Luke! We are so happy you came to visit us!

Merit meeting Luke for the first time; he's trying to show him a toy. :)

Look at that sweet face.

We played outside and enjoyed the unusually warm temperature!

Winter Break - Tuesday

Merit is very proud of his new bookcase. He had so much fun helping me place all of his books in the case. Look at that sweet smile. :)

We made a trip to NorthPark to get some exercise, visit the ducks and turtles and do a little shopping too.

Our next stop of the morning was the hair salon by our house. Merit's hair grows really fast and Daddy said it needed to be cut.

He really has fun getting his hair cut. :)

And, we did all of this before noon! Wow! Alicia and sweet Luke will be arriving any time now!

Mommy's First Day of Winter Break!

Oh, how I love being a teacher. And, I really love the many holidays and vacation days I get during the school year! This week is my Winter Break. In April, I have one week off for Spring Break. :) So nice! Merit and I started off the week with a relaxing morning of playing with cars, eating breakfast and then shopping for a new bookcase for his room.

Here is Merit at IKEA riding on the cart with his new bookcase. He was pretty excited about this; you can't tell from his facial expression though.

He wanted to help me put it together. :)

Mimi came over when she got done working and was my assistant as I assembled the bookcase. It turned out great! Pictures of the finished product coming soon!

Painting With Cars

Doesn't Pinterest have the greatest ideas?! :)
I put construction paper on an old cookie sheet, globs of washable poster paint and let Merit go to town running his trucks and cars all through the paint. The tracks looked really neat and Merit had so much fun doing this. After we finished with one, he wanted to make another one.

He was very proud of his finished product!

After we were done, he said his cars needed a car wash. So, we washed the cars at the sink and he dryed them off one by one. :)

Snow Day at PWood

Prestonwood puts on some really wonderful things for the kiddos. This Sunday it was Snow Day! They had fake snow brought in. The kids thought the snow was fantastic! I spoke with Diana Pendley and she told me they bought it from a science company in the northeast. The fake snow was cool to the touch and very soft. It really did feel almost real!
As you can tell from the pics, Merit loved it!

New Hot Wheels Tote!

While I went to get my haircut on Saturday, Daddy and Merit went shopping. Merit came home with a cool new tote for his cars. He came up with the idea of giving the doggies rides around the living room. Poor Cali, sheer terror can best describe how she felt. :(

Merit really enjoyed the ride from Daddy though!

Thomas & Merit

We met Tim & Holly for dinner Saturday night. The boys were very well behaved at dinner and we had a great time catching up with each other. After dinner, Merit showed Thomas his cars and Thomas was definitely interested in them. We got to see Thomas crawl too! He is really growing up fast.

Where is Merit???

Merit really likes to hide in a sea of stuffed animals. We play, "where is Merit?" He thinks it's so funny! Look at that smile!

Playing with Mickey Mouse. This Mickey teaches colors, numbers and shapes.!
