Look at Those Teeth!

Merit's two bottom teeth are quite visible now. In fact, I think the top teeth will be emerging quite soon! He laughs and smiles all of the time so it is easy to see those pearly whites. What a cutie!

Aunt Alicia's & Uncle Marc's Visit

Alicia and Marc came in town to help pack Mom & Dad's house. What a job! I've never seen so much stuff in all of my life! They were a hugh help! Marc was in charge of packing all of the electronics. We were really glad they were able to help. We did have some fun too while they were here. We went to dinner and had lots of hang out time. We can't wait to see Aunt Alicia & Uncle Marc again soon!

Merit's 2nd cousin Oakley turned 3! His Mommy, Amy, planned a really cool party for him. It was a Superhero party! Amy and her mom made Superhero capes for all of the kids. I had to come up with a Superhero name, color and power. Merit was Mighty Muscles Merit, his color was red and his power was super human strength. Amy made a really awesome cake with Superheros in the city. It was amazing! What a fun day for us!

Patti-Cake with Daddy's Hands

Merit loves playing patti-cake and now he really likes clapping Daddy's hands together. He gets quite excited and just giggles out-loud. It is adorable.

Swimming with Ashleigh!

Nana Pat, Ashleigh's Grandma, invited us over to her house to swim with Ashleigh and Debbie.

Merit really enjoyed seeing Ashleigh and Aunt Debbie too. He has missed seeing them lately. Ashleigh looked like the Coppertone baby. What a cutie! It was a great day!

Helping Mommy

Merit has become quite the little helper. He really loves to help Mommy with all of her many projects. This week we cleaned out the master bathroom closet. This was quite a job. Merit pulled files out of the closet while I threw stuff away. We also fixed up Merit's bathtub. We put green dinosaurs on the bathtub floor and hung a cool frog on the wall that holds all of Merit's bath toys. We had a very productive day!

Yummy Eggs!

Merit had his first taste of eggs this week. The texture was quite different to him but I can safely say he liked the eggs. Mommy & Daddy eat a lot of egg whites so I think he will be following in our footsteps!

Swimming with Daddy!

Daddy has been going swimming with Merit too. Merit and I usually swim at some point each day and normally Daddy is at work. However, Daddy has been getting in the pool some evenings with us. Merit loves walking in the pool with the assistance of Daddy.

Merit is spending a lot of time in the pool these days. Mommy & Daddy bought a small pool for our backyard. He loves it! He went swimming with Mimi after dinner one night. I think Mimi enjoyed it too!

Lunch with Sarah!

Merit and I had a great time catching up with Sarah. Sarah moved to Connecticut this time last year and we have really missed her. Life is just not the same without her here in Dallas. Sarah and I worked out together almost every day after school. We always had such great talks while at the gym. We met for lunch in Waxahachie at the Dove's Nest Restaurant. It was Merit's first time there. Mimi got to go with us and so did Sarah's mom. It was a great day!

San Antonio Visit!

Merit had a wonderful time visiting his Grandparents in San Antonio. Grammy and Papa D enjoyed spending time with him. He got to spend some time playing with his cousins, Ella & Aidan too! He loved playing with all of the dogs too. We will hopefully be going back again very soon!

July 4th Fun!

We had a great time celebrating with friends on the 4th. Everyone met at our house, ate dinner and then went to watch the Kaboom Town Addison show. I wish I could say that Merit enjoyed the fireworks but he didn't. He and Keller, Shane & Heather's little boy, were fast asleep in the back of JP's truck. Oh well...maybe they will see them next year.

Swimming at Nana's!

Merit loves swimming at Nana's! This time Mimi got to come with us. We went on Mimi's day off from work. It was a blast! Nana had a cool blow up car for Merit. He thought it was pretty neat! We can't wait to go to Nana's pool again!

Aunt Bee & Uncle Marcus Visit Us

Merit's Great Grandpa's brother and sister came to visit from Arkansas. Merit always enjoys being loved on by family. Aunt Bee, Uncle Marcus and Papa came over to our house for dinner and to spend some time catching up. Wish we got to see them more often!
