My New Friend, Thomas

Merit and his new pal Thomas

Can't wait for these two to play together some day!

Merit rolling the ball with Mimi

Somehow my workout equipment becomes a toy for Merit

Obviously having way too much fun!

We met Tim & Holly for dinner last night at Torchy's Tacos. Have you been there? http://torchystacos.com/ Yum! It's good stuff! We had a nice dinner and then went back to our house for some laughs. Merit was quite entertaining as always and we really enjoyed spending some time with little Thomas. He smiled for us too! It was a great evening!

A Day With Ashleigh

Playing with Merit's car

They took turns pushing each other.

They both had a blast running through the sprinkler ball!

What a treat! Popsicles after lunch!

They had fun playing with Merit's cars and race track.

Being very silly before nap time

Big hug!

We had so much fun spending time with Debbie and Ashleigh on Friday. Ashleigh and Merit played outside until noon and then we came in for lunch. It was great to watch them play together and I learned that we are definitely going to have to work on sharing. Merit wasn't too happy about sharing his toys. However, he definitely didn't want Ashleigh to leave. He went to bed calling her name and as soon as he woke up he called for her. He ran to the front door calling, "ASHLEIGH"! We ran some errands before JP got home and he kept calling her name while we were driving. So sweet!

Nana + Northpark = Fun Day!

Ready for the show!

The storyteller read one of Merit's favorite books!

Merit was very focused and quite serious. :)

The storyteller brought a bunny rabbit!

After lunch we enjoyed admiring the beautiful foliage at Northpark.

And of course, our trip to Northpark would not be complete without visiting the ducks and turtles.

Nana really liked watching them too!

Merit getting a little more energy out before we head home for nap time.

Bookmarks presented a great show for the kids today. Nana met us there and she really enjoyed the show too! After the show we did a little shopping and then we grabbed some lunch. It was such a treat for Nana to join us today. Last week Aunt Alicia was with us and this week Nana. Merit is very loved and we are very blessed!

Free Entertainment!

Merit thought the bike was the greatest!

Look at that smirk!

I guess he thought I needed another medicine ball. He picked them off the shelf one by one and examined them. Too funny!

He also thought the treadmill was pretty cool.

He liked the Texas Rangers pillow pal. He already has a pillow pal though and doesn't really need another one.

He had fun throwing the baseball to Daddy. He's got a good arm!

He admired the bats and seemed to like the red ones the best.

JP wanted to go to Dick's Sporting Goods to buy some new stretch bands. We decided this should definitely be a family outing as it would be good free entertainment for Merit. We were there a long time and Merit had way too much fun! What a great idea!

New Lego Set

Merit received a horse and stable Lego set from Aunt Denise and Uncle Bill for his birthday last year. I put it up in his closet knowing that he was still a little too young for it. Well, today he continued to point to it over and over again, so I got it down. We opened the box and he couldn't wait to pull all of the pieces out. You can see his excitement from these pics. He loved the horses and the truck and trailer. I put the stable together and we spent a lot of time playing with this Lego set today. We are truly enjoying our days together!

Have You Been to This Restaurant?

Last night we tried something new. JP had seen this restaurant and wanted to try it. The name, Woodlands American Grill. It was fabulous! We started with an appetizer of grilled chicken flat bread with pesto, sun dried tomatoes and fresh basil. I had the Cedar Plank Macadamia Salmon Salad. JP chose the Reggiano Chicken platter. Merit's dinner was a combination of the flat bread and some food off of our plates. We tried their side of macaroni and cheese and their goat cheese potato cakes. The potato cakes were dressed with an amazing apple chutney. We topped off our dinner with the brownie dessert; a warm brownie topped with caramel ice cream, cocoa puffs and fresh berried. It was scrumptious. Merit really enjoyed the dessert! What a great evening! http://woodlands-grill.com/

The party ended with some fun in the water!

We had a great time celebrating Oakley's 4th birthday this weekend. Amy planned a really cool Star Wars themed party. As you can see from the picture, all of the kids had way too much fun. Thank you Amy for hosting another wonderful birthday party!
