Saturday Night Car Show

We enjoyed a car show at Boardwalk Audi on Saturday night. Heather, Shane and sweet Keller met us there. The boys absolutely loved the music and danced all around the streets. The highlight of the evening was when the boys got to each pick out a new Hot Wheels car. Two happy boys were they! Good times with good friends.

Yogurtland with My Girls!

Merit and I met some of my sweet students for a treat at Yogurtland on Saturday. After we enjoyed frozen yogurt we went next door to Barnes & Noble. It was so much fun to catch up with these girls. I have missed seeing them since school let out for the summer. We plan to meet again in July!

Splash Park with Friends

JP and I took Merit to the splash park on Saturday morning. We ran into some of Merit's friends while there. He was pretty excited to see them and these three had a great time playing in the water together. What a fun start to our Saturday!

 

Daddy's Home!

Love how I captured the excitement Merit has when Daddy comes home. JP was gone most of the week again this week. :( However, he surprised us and came home Thursday instead of Friday! As soon as Merit heard the garage door opening, he wanted to run to the garage to see Daddy. So sweet! We were both very happy to have Daddy home!

Fun & Easy Puzzle Craft

We have a ton of car magazines at our house. JP subscribes to 3 and we actually have duplicates of some of them. So, I though, why not use the old ones to make some new puzzles? Merit likes puzzles and he's totally obsessed with cars. I carefully tore the car pictures out of the magazines then used old file folders for the backing. Merit helped apply the glue and I made sure the pictures were glued on straight. I then cut the picture into fairly big pieces. Now we have some new puzzles, yet we didn't buy anything at all! Fun!

Hands

I hope I never forget the size of Merit's hands at this age. And, I adore the fact that he loves to hold hands with Mommy and Daddy. Hopefully that will last a while.

We Want One of These!

Our neighbors have one of these cute tree swings. Merit tried it out the other night while we were out for a walk. He loved it! Anyone know where you can buy these?

More Pool Time

At the Car Wash!

Merit helped Mimi wash her car on Monday night. Wow! I don't think Merit has ever seen so many bubbles. He loved this experience! I sang, "At the Carwash" and Merit danced all over the place. What a cute boy!

Fun at IKEA!

So, next time your kiddos want to have indoor fun, head to IKEA! Merit had a blast playing in their kids area in between shopping with me. He crawled through the tunnel, played in the tent, and tried out some of their toddler beds. It was hilarious! He came home with a fun new toy too! And, Mommy came home with new curtains and new storage bins for Merit's closet. We both win!
