My appointment with Dr. Juturi went great! She said that my blood levels have truly leveled out at this point. For the months of November - March my levels were very inconsistent. As of now, my white blood cell count seems to have leveled off as well as my red cell count and my platelets. She did send my blood off to be tested for remission. I should have the results some time this week. She said she has never seen anyone respond so quickly to the medicine and that in her opinion my bodies response is perfect. She is going to have me and JP meet with Dr. Braushawn again, he is the Leukemia specialist at Medical City. I am very hopeful that I will be in remission. However, God has truly met all of my needs for the past few months. I have felt great and have been able to continue my normal daily activities. We stay very busy at the McLain household. - Our journey began October 2005 when we met in our Single's class at Prestonwood Baptist Church. We were engaged in June 2006 and were married on November 17, 2006. JP works for ROMCO as a Product Support Sales Manager and I will begin teaching part-time for the Dallas International School in August 2011. We have one little boy, Merit Cross. God has truly blessed our family.

Charissa, I was looking at your blog yesterday in hopes of finding an update about your health. I'm so delighted your dr. had good things to say. I've been praying for a remission, if that's God's will. So glad you seem to feel well enough to putter around in the yard, go for walks with Merit, and plan to continue to teach beginning in August. Continue to take care of yourself, and I'll continue to pray for God's healing touch on your body.
