There was a storm brewing but we just ignored it.
We got caught in the rain and I ran while pushing the stroller; poor Merit had mud splashed on his legs, arms and face. He did not think it was funny!
After the storm and cleaned up; we went exploring.

We thought it would be fun to have a picnic dinner at Garden of the Gods. Little did we know that a storm was coming! We got all of our food out and then started to feel rain drops. Oh no...the rain was definitely coming! We quickly put things away and down came the rain. JP ran to get the Jeep and I quickly put Merit in the stroller to head for shelter. I ran to a public restroom area and poor Merit got mud splashed all over him. He did not like this one bit! I think it scared him just a little. JP pulled as close to where we were as possible and we made it to the car. We drove around sight seeing until the rain and lightning passed. It turned out to be a beautiful evening. We had a great time hiking around the place and climbing the rocks. Another great day in Colorado!
